Dolly Lowe is an 19 year old French/British singer-songwriter, actress and model performing in LA, NY, London and Paris. Trained by the Franco Iranian opera/folk singer Ariana Vafadari Dolly directed her exceptional voice to the singing of jazz and blues. After meeting the late Barbara Morrison Dolly started to sing regularly with Barbara's band at the mythical LA club, Pips on La Brea. A recent collaboration with the multi instrumentalist Samuel Curtis extended her range to cover songs by composers such as Bob Dylan, John Prine. She is now performing regularly in clubs in LA and NYC as well as pursuing her acting and modelling careers with her manager Allan Mindel (Framework) and Click Models. She appeared in Martin Scorsese's Super Bowl commercial for Squarespace. She has been photographed notably by Bruce Weber, Tierney Gearon and Brigitte Lacombe. Bruce Weber, lover of jazz and director of the award winning documentary on Chet Baker, Let’s Get Lost invited Dolly to sing for his latest book launch with the renowned bass player, John Leftwich (Melody Gardot, Pharrel Williams, Rickie Lee Jones, Carmen McRae...). Her acting coach, John Ruskin introduced her to Billy Steinberg (Whitney Houston, The Bangles, Madonna, Cyndi lauper) and she found herself in a studio recording for Billy and Rick Nowels (Madonna, Lana Del Rey).

This March in LA Dolly and Samuel Curtis performed at the Webster for a special fashion event, at Jay Froberg’s pre Oscar party in Venice and at the Dynasty Typewriter Theater sharing the bill with John Mulaney. She has been invited to perform at the Lone Pine film festival in October, to give various sets in mythical movie locations.

Meanwhile in New York she’s performed sets at The Nines, Small’s, The Ned Hotel, Williamsburg Music Center, Casa Cipriani notably accompanied by the jazz pianist Elew (https://elewrockjazz.com). Dolly and Elew gave a special French themed evening at the Casa Cipriani in April and a week later at the Casa Cruz for the press opening of Dior. She’s even dropped by the mythical Chelsea Hotel and given a private impromptu concert for Jefferson Hack and Pat Cleveland.

Her main influences and inspirations are Peggy Lee, Bob Dylan, Fats Waller, Ella Fitzgerald, Liza Minelli, Sarah Vaughn, Jarvis Cocker, Nancy Wilson, Hoagy Carmichael, Etta James, Groucho Marx, Mahalia Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Julie London, Chet Baker, Fiona Apple and so on and so on..... to name a few! 

Dolly sings songs from the Great American Songbook, jazz and blues standards – her repertoire is extensive and extremely varied covering several continents, she sings in fluent English and French. She also writes her own songs, ballads, quirky pop songs, rock, even venturing into girl's band type punk.

It’s not often you get a beautiful girl who can sing beautifully. Dolly is Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday, Brigitte Bardot all rolled into one.
